Magic Johnson and his billionaire backers, the Guggenheim Partners, want a chance to purchase the Los Angeles Clippers, league sources told Yahoo Sports. "Magic's absolutely interested," one source closely connected to Johnson's business interests told Yahoo Sports on Sunday night.

Regime change in professional sports! Couldn't happen to a more perfect candidate! Sterling deserves the ouster! Well orchestrated Magic / Guggenheim. Sterling made it so easy. Put a pretty woman in front of him. Just let him open his mouth honestly! The rest is easy!
Somebody said the Clips were worth only $750 million. To Guggenheim and others, the Clips are worth 2X or 3X that amount. Just watch the type of TV contract (similar to Lakers / Time Warner deal). In the same way Guggenheim acquired the Dodgers, they will buy the Clips. And Sterling will be gone! Thankfully. Ironically it's a win-win for everyone. NBA is happy to get of Sterling. Magic is happy b/c he's now front and center at Staples in the NBA. Guggenheim is happy b/c they will win big deal after big deal for Clips. LA is happy b/c they will get a winner, year after year with professional mgmt. Even Sterling wins b/c he gets a decent sale price given the situation.
