As Washington continues to mull new patent legislation, here's a snapshot of the U.S. patent landscape.

Patent Stats 2013 - interesting to note: the State of CA had 77,000 patent app's filed last year - by far the tops. State of WA had 14,000 (how many of them were MSFT and Amazon)? Shunpei Yamazaki as an inventor had 360 issuances in 2013. IBM had over 6,817 issuances leading the way again.
