Right-hander Jarrod Parker will undergo the second Tommy John surgery of his career and miss the 2014 season, the Oakland Athletics announced Monday.
My Two Cents
Funny how Tommy John is more well known for the revolutionary surgery performed by Dr. Frank Jobe than he is for the 288 wins (7th most for a lefty) and 164 after his surgery. Lifetime ERA of 3.34 / 2,245 strikeouts. Shouldn't it be the Jobe surgery! And shouldn't Tommy John be a Hall of Famer!
