Just some Research I quickly compiled about Mark Percival, a Typist at Yahoo who I met at the HTML5 Dev Conference...

Formerly mobile engineering at Twitter, then Director of Engineering at Snip.it, which was acquired, and now at Yahoo!.

In my free time I like to travel, eat fearlessly, avoid traffic, work on open source projects, and violate terms of service agreements.

Snip.it allows you to collect the best of the Web. It enables consumers to easily “snip” content - videos, images, and articles - and share their opinions with the world.

The site was founded in the spring of 2011 when Egypt-born, San Francisco-based Ramy Adeeb, then a principal at Khosla Ventures, was struggling to find a platform to share his thoughts and relevant content around the Arab Spring. With that in mind, he created Snip.it, a platform focused on highlighting interests through collections, and a venue for non-fleeting content.

Snip.it lets you create collections of content and opinions (called “snips”) and share them with anyone or everyone. Snip.it allows you to pull the content that matters to you in one place, add your voice to it, and discover interesting content from like-minded people. It’s sort of like bookmarking meets content collection meets self-expression meets discovery. The startup allows you to collect content from around the web, personalizing it with one’s voice, and also discovering content.

Snip.it, a startup that lets you create and share collections of content on the web, has raised a round of funding from Khosla Ventures, True Ventures,..
